Potential trade implications of Latin America and the Caribbean’s climate commitments under the Paris Agreement

In seeking to understand the trade implications of climate change mitigation in Latin America and the Caribbean, this paper will focus on identifying trade-relevant content from them in a relevant content in two general categories: first, measures impacting expenditure on capital and durable goods imports, and second, measures impacting revenue (as a function of output and cost competitiveness) from key exports, mainly those classified as raw materials.
