Decentralization, Local Governance, and Localizing the Sustainable Development Goals in Asia and the Pacific

Subnational governments implement public policies, facilitate partnerships among stakeholders, and act as interlocutors between communities and the state. Many national SDG targets will not be achievable without their full involvement. This volume discusses how to foster an enabling environment to help subnational governments realize their potential in addressing development challenges, and includes analysis of particular country contexts
