CI/CD blocking tasks – remember checking the failure information (01/06/2022)
When encountering blocking tasks marked in red on the DIGIT Drupal Continuous Integration and Deployment, development teams should check the available information on the red task to understand the reason of the failure. Replacement of Poetry affecting OpenEuropa websites (01/04/2022)
The Poetry translation system owned by DG Translation (DGT) and used on Europa websites will be discontinued by the end of 2022 (date to be confirmed). DGT already released the new e-Poetry system which will replace the old one. DIGIT and COMM are working on the Europa Web Publishing Platform (EWPP)/OpenEuropa integration with e-Poetry, expected to release in September or October.
Managers of OpenEuropa sites using the component oe_poetry that integrates Poetry should plan a specific release of their sites to include the new component for e-Poetry to avoid discontinuity of the translation service.
DIGIT will inform in time about the exact date when the e-Poetry component will be available, around September or October, and will provide a window of four weeks to allow the deployment of OpenEuropa sites including the new e-Poetry component.
Websites using the Europa Web Publishing Platform do not need to take any action since the ePoetry integration will be included in the corresponding platform upgrade.
