Financial literacy: Join our high-level conference in Brussels on 19 November

The European Commission will organise a High-Level Conference on Financial Literacy on 19 November 2026 in Brussels, bringing together policymakers, experts, educators, consumer representatives and other stakeholders from across Europe. As part of the implementation of the EU Financial Literacy Strategy, the event will showcase practical examples of financial literacy initiatives that are making a difference for citizens, and discuss how financial literacy can strengthen financial resilience, support social inclusion and enable people to participate confidently in the financial system.

High-level speakers include Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, Maria Luís Albuquerque, Commissioner for Financial Services and the Savings and Investments Union, alongside Members of the European Parliament and representatives of the OECD, the European Investment Bank and the European Economic and Social Committee.

Registration is now open. Discover the programme and register here to attend the conference in Brussels and be part of the discussion.
