Call for applications: NPL Advisory Panel
The Commission’s Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (DG FISMA) is calling for new Members for its NPL Advisory Panel.
Originally established in June 2021, the group was created to support the implementation of the Commission’s Action Plan on tackling non-performing loans (NPLs) in the aftermath of the COVID-19 crisis. Since then, the Panel has provided valuable expert feedback and market insight, which has informed several of the Commission’s initiatives, such as the 2022 best-execution guidelines for sales of NPLs.
In September 2025, DG FISMA decided to further extend the group’s mandate until September 2027. The decision reflects the EU’s changing NPL landscape – including the entry into application of the NPL Directive, market consolidation trends and the growing role of new technologies.
DG FISMA is inviting applications from experts, including NPL purchasers, banks, asset management companies, consumer organisations and intermediaries specialised in NPL-relevant services.
The deadline to submit applications has been extended to 28 November 2025.
