Ministerial segment of INC-2 (27 May) and INC-2 on international instrument on plastic pollution (29-2 June)

The second session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, including in the marine environment (INC-2), will be preceded by regional consultations on 28 May 2023.

Prior to the meeting, on 27 May, a high-level segment will seek to mobilise politically for these important steps in the negotiations, which are expected to advance on key elements of the new instrument, including core obligations. A number of stakeholders from industry and civil society are expected to participate.
