Today there are only a few drones over the city – in 2030 there could be thousands per hour.

What will the future of smart mobility look like? We can imagine it as follows: rapid, flexible and environmentally friendly. Drone services are considered as strong allies of Europe’s twin transition towards a green and digital economy, knowing that they successfully meet European Green Deal’s plan to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions and encompass smart transport characteristics.

To ensure the efficient development of the drone eco-system but also the privacy and security of the citizens, the EU foresees a Drone strategy 2.0 that includes a complete policy package. Therefore, the main objective is to further develop theis strategy in light of the EU Green Deal, Smart and Sustainable Mobility Strategy, Digital Strategy and other Union policies.
