Dear Sir/Madam,

On behalf of the European Commission, Directorate-General for Environment, we are pleased to invite you to the virtual conference...

Level(s): reshaping sustainability practices in the built environment
Learn about the impact of Level(s) and discover new tools to get started

The event will take place on Wednesday 24 November, from 09:30 until 12:30 CET.

What is Level(s)?

Level(s) is an EU assessment and reporting framework that provides the basis for including lifecycle thinking and circularity in building policy. The framework creates a common language for a variety of actors and is part of the Renovation Wave, providing guidance for users to apply circularity principles in renovation projects. Level(s) is furthermore cited in a screening criterion of the recently adopted EU Taxonomy Climate Delegated Act – therefore also guiding investments to help the built environment sector reduce the whole-life carbon impact of new buildings.

Level(s) uses core sustainability indicators, tested by the building sector, and provides a robust approach to measure and support improvements from design to end of life. Find more information about Level(s) here.

Explore the benefits of Level(s)

This conference will introduce a new suite of tools to help a variety of professionals use the Level(s) framework to ensure that action taken at the level of individual buildings makes a measurable impact on critical issues such as climate change, circular economy, climate adaptation and health. Furthermore, speakers will explain how Level(s) is having an impact on EU and national legislation, provide examples of how the indicators have been used in building projects as well as how national certification schemes align with the framework. The Level(s) framework:

  • Is based on a method tried and tested across the EU and underpins future EU policy.
  • Ensures future proofing of buildings as it tracks performance throughout the full life cycle.
  • Brings minimum numbers of indicators with maximum leverage to deliver sustainability.

Join us to deepen your understanding of how to use Level(s) for measuring performance at every life cycle stage.
