The ThinkNature platform has released a new Nature-based Solutions Handbook. The handbook’s objective is to gather and promote state-of-the-art knowledge regarding nature-based solutions (NbS) and to provide a comprehensive guide to all relevant actors.

Each aspect of NbS is investigated, from project development to financing and policy making. The handbook contributes to expanding the knowledge base on the effectiveness of NbS, supporting their implementation through upscaling and replicability, and proposing a comprehensive methodological approach for innovation.

Of special interest to the B@B community is Chapter 6 on Financing & Business which takes practitioners through the steps of developing a business case for NbS and helps them articulate the benefits of NbS in financial terms. The chapter also includes a list of resources for mapping financing for NbS.
