On 2 May, the European Commission's DG REGIO launched their annual edition of the "Europe in my Region" photo competition. You are cordially invited to participate.

The aim of the competition is to take a photo of an EU-funded project and show evidence of EU funding in the photo. All LIFE projects are eligible to take part in the competition, which is open until midnight 28 August.

From 1-11 September, there will be a public vote to select the best 100 photos entered. An independent jury of photography or social media experts will select three winning images from these 100 photographs, plus an additional 25 'wildcard' entries chosen by the jury.

Each winner will receive a voucher for a photography workshop in Brussels and a two night trip to Brussels for two people, including travel and accommodation, between 10 - 13 October 2016. The winners will be announced 16 September.

Last year lots of LIFE projects participated, and a Slovenian project LIFE12 ENV/SI/000783 was one of the 3 winners (see below). You all have so many beautiful and inspiring photographs of your projects, you must participate!
