The Limits to Growth is the title of a book by Donella Meadows, Jorgen Randers, Dennis Meadows, and William Behrens, that was published in 1972. Now 50 years later we find ourselves in the “business as usual scenario” where the Earth’s natural capacity to recover is exceeded and we are facing a severe ecological crisis. Therefore, the European Commission introduced the Green New Deal.
