On October 19, from 15:00 to 16:30, the EU will host the side event ‘Circular Design and Trade’. Participants in this event will explore the role of trade in facilitating the transition to climate-neutral, nature-positive and resource-efficient circular economies globally. The main objectives of this workshops will be to:

  • Inform participants about trends in EU and global demand for products designed for the circular economy, resulting from market and legislative change;
  • Explain which issues and opportunities this raises for trade patterns and trade policy;
  • Identify facilitative actions which could overcome any difficulties.
