Several turnkeys in EU environmental directions that are expected to shape ETV's landscape

ETV continues to monitor major environmental policy decisions that will shape it’s landscape such as: the Sustainable Products Initiative (SPI), the extended scope of the 2009 Ecodesign Directive, and the digital Product Passport. These policy decisions and initiatives are crucial to the future of the environment. When faced with an environmental problem, environmental technological innovations such as those promoted by EU ETV are essential.

ETV continues to monitor major environmental policy decisions that will shape it’s landscape such as: the Sustainable Products Initiative (SPI), the extended scope of the 2009 Ecodesign Directive, and the digital Product Passport. Notable  developments on ETV’s radar include the implementation of the EU’s Single-use Plastics ban, stricter rules to reduce waste under the Packaging Directive, a new Framework on Compostable Plastics. These policy decisions and initiatives are crucial to the future of the environment. When faced with an environmental problem, environmental technological innovations such as those promoted by EU ETV are essential.  

Above all, standardisation is where the EU can make a global difference to the environment. In this regard, communication plays an essential role in promoting alternative climate-friendly products and technologies. ETV supports EU efforts under the Standardisation Strategy alongside bolstering the efforts of environmental technologies through verification.
