The 8th Session of the Meeting of the Parties (MOP8) to the African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbird Agreement (AEWA) will take place on 26-30 September 2022 in Budapest, at the kind invitation of the Hungarian Government.
Items on the agenda for this meeting are:
- Budget for the next triennium (2023-2025) and the corresponding programme of work for the AEWA Secretariat
- Update of the list of populations protected under AEWA according to latest review of their conservation status
- AEWA International Single Species Action Plan for the Conservation of the Common Eider (Somateria mollissima)
- Inventory and monitoring of the AEWA flyway site network
