Knowledge Transfer for the Coadaptation of humans and wolves in the Alpine regions
date: 20/12/2021
The aim of the CIPRA run project, was to collect, process, make available and disseminate knowledge about the coadaptation of humans and wolves throughout the Alps. Coadaptation refers to mutual processes of adaptation that take place on both sides. Wolves develop strategies to live in a nature dominated by humans. Humans, for their part, develop strategies to maintain their cultural and economic practices and to make them profitable (alpine farming and pastoralism, breeding, tourism, forestry etc.). The final report of the project provides further information.
