The European Commission has presented the new EU Biodiversity Strategy to 2030. As part of the European Green Deal, it will play an important role to build a better future in the EU’s sustainable socio-economic recovery in the post-COVID-19 context.

Natura 2000 will be at the heart of the EU’s efforts to restore ecosystems and the Strategy aims to build an even more coherent and integrated network of protected areas.
