DUE TO RUSSIAN AGGRESSION ON UKRAINE (WHICH BEGUN ON 24.02.2022), ALL INTERNATIONAL ENERGY PRICES WENT UP TO A NEW LEVEL. Prices for Euro 95, diesel and LPG eased further after conflict between Israel and Hamas did not escalate througout the region weeks after Hamas attacked Israel on 6th October. Luxembourg, Poland and Sweden increased VAT and Excises. Italy, Portugal and Denmark increased Excise taxes. Austria and Latvia increased Other indirect taxes. Hungary ended price cap for Euro 95 and Diesel. France ended discount on retail price and increased excises for Diesel. Germany introduced from 1.1.2023 bio component of 5% for Euro 95 and 7% for diesel, increased excise for LPG and introduced explicite Other indirect taxes based on CO2 for Euro 95, diesel, LPG and heating oil. Croatia joined Eurozone and Schengen area on 1.1.2023. Slovenia increased Other indirect taxes for Euro 95 and diesel. The NORA Levy on Petroleum products reverts to 2 cent/litre in Ireland on 28th of February. New excise duty in Slovenia for Diesel and Heating Gas Oil in force from 28.03.2023. Portugal, Ireland and Slovenia have increased other indirect taxes for euro super 95 and automotive diesel from 01/05/2023. Ireland increased excise Duty on Petrol, Diesel and Gasoil from 01.06.2023. Portugal increased excises taxes for euro super 95 and automotive diesel (Portaria nº150-B/2023) and new other indirect taxes (CO2) for all products (Portaria nº150-A/2023) from 06/06/2023. Austria, Latvia and Portugal increased other indirect taxes from 01.07.2023. Netherlands increased excise taxes from 01.07.2023. Portugal increased other indirect taxes from 28.07.2023. Due to pending change of the methodology, Bulgaria is ceasing the reporting on the price for heating oil until further notice. Czechia increased subsidies for heating oil since 01.08.2023.
