Join the annual initiative meeting!

Registration is now open for the annual meeting of the Initiative for coal regions in transition in the Western Balkans and Ukraine. The event will take place in Brussels on 27-28 November 2023; web streaming will be available.

The event will encompass various subjects, including:

• just transition integration into National Energy and Climate Plans
• reflections on technical assistance and investment preparation
• governance and stakeholder engagement mechanisms to facilitate the just transition
• accessing international, public, and private finance
• capacity building for navigating the just transition

A draft event agenda will be available soon.

Interpretation into Albanian, Bosnian, Croatian, English, Macedonian, Montenegrin, Serbian, and Ukrainian will be provided.

Registration deadlines:

• 13 November, 12:00 CET, for in-person participation
• 24 November, 18:00 CET, for online participation
