Introducing TARGET - the new technical assistance facility for a green energy transition

This webinar is co-organised by the European Commission and European Investment Bank, and presents the new TARGET Technical Assistance Facility.

TARGET is a joint European Commission/DG ENER – EIB technical assistance facility aimed at assisting EU coal, peat and oil shale regions with the identification and preparation of clean energy and energy efficiency projects. The facility will support sustainable investments and local job creation while phasing out fossil fuel-based activities. Its main form of support will consist of guidance on project formulation and alignment to the relevant EU objectives, improving project quality, capacity building and advice on potential sources of funding.

In this webinar, speakers from the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy and EIB will jointly introduce the policy context around the TARGET facility and present central information to potential beneficiaries. Participants will be given the opportunity for Q&A after the presentations and in dedicated break-out sessions.
