Joint Statement between the European Commission and the United States on European Energy Security

On 25 March 2022, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, and Joe Biden, President of the United States, gave a joint statement on European Energy Security, in Brussels, Belgium. They expressed the commitment of the United States and the European Commission to reduce Europe's dependency on Russian energy, to ensure Europe's energy security and sustainability and to accelerate the global transition to clean energy.
