Carbominer To Receive Award From Google Startups Fund In Ukraine

Carbon Herald | 18/06/2024 | The Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund named its first 9 startups to receive an award in 2024. Carbominer – a direct air capture player, is one of the selected companies. Recently, Carbominer has also been awarded with the EIC Accelerator grant funding of €1.5M to accelerate its growth.

New EU Regulations Unlock High-Value Datasets to Boost AI and Data-Driven Innovation

On 9 June, new EU regulations mandating the availability of additional public datasets for reuse came into effect. These 'high-value datasets' cover six thematic areas specified in the Open Data Directive: geospatial, earth observation and environment, meteorological, statistics, companies, and mobility. The new regulations have the potential to yield significant societal and economic benefits by driving the creation of innovative products and services, such as artificial intelligence applications.

 
European IP Helpdesk at the Tour des Capitales: Skills and Capacity for Knowledge Valorisation

On 4 June 2024, the Ministry of Science, Education, and Youth hosted the inaugural National Knowledge Valorisation Day as part of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Research and Innovation's "Tour des Capitales" campaign. The campaign aims to emphasise the importance of knowledge valorisation in making research results beneficial to society.
