Factsheet on the European Solidarity Corps now available

Young people across the EU should have the opportunity to volunteer or work for a good cause, said Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker during his State of the Union address in September 2016. This would allow them to express their solidarity, develop skills and gain experience. Registration for the Corps opens on 7 December 2016.

How will the European Solidarity Corps work? Who can take part? What does it involve? These and other questions are answered in our upcoming ‘Spotlight on the European Solidarity Corps' factsheet. The short, easy-to-read publication is the first in a news series entitled 'Spotlight on…' which will focus on topics of interest to citizens. The factsheets are specifically designed to be useful for Representations and Europe Direct Information Centres as hand-outs in all 24 languages.

The four-page factsheet will be made available as a PDF to Representations and Europe Direct Information Centres in time for the launch on 7 December. Printed copies will be available to order from EU Bookshop from mid-December.
