Understanding the EU – promotional bookmarks

"We should better promote Commission publications", said Ierotheos Papadopoulos, head of unit of the Citizens' information sector when he took up his new position in September. Well said, and well done: Bookmarks advertising the Commission's publications are amongst the first promotional products made available for Commission services and partners.

date:  02/12/2015

Printed in format 210*49,5 mm and on glossy 300 gram paper, these bookmarks advertise the publications for citizens under the headline of "Understanding the EU". The front pages shows a number of them, namely "Let's Explore Europe", "Europe what it's all about" for young people just as well as some titles of the series "The EU explained". On the backside, the most important titles of DG COMM's publication programme are listed, together with a pointer to the "Teachers' Corner" and "Kids' Corner" websites. Mail address, e-mail address and the EU bookshop website address complement the very compact information on this promotional product.

At present, the bookmarks are only available in English in limited numbers, and free of charge. Some other promotional items for publications could also be available for particular important events. To ask about this, please contact Patricia Speybrouck at comm-c1@ec.europa.eu
