International Day of Women and Girls in Science

According to UNESCO, currently less than 30% of researchers worldwide are women. It is therefore essential to promote women's and girls' full and equal access to and participation in science.

The history of science has been marked by important discoveries made by women, in particular Marie Curie and Irène Joliot-Curie, whom we invite you to discover in the «Discoveries and inventions» part of the EU Timeline.
