The first New European Bauhaus Festival is just around the corner (9-12 June), and registrations are currently open. The Festival brings together citizens from all walks of life to debate and shape our future landscape. Registration for the ceremony on 30 May is now open. This special anniversary edition will recognise the most innovative, inspirational and effective LIFE projects in the fields of nature protection, environment and climate action. Winners from each of these 3 categories will be voted by expert jury members and announced on the day of the ceremony. A fourth category is set for the LIFE Citizens’ Prize, where people will vote for their favourite project among all 12 finalists through a dedicated online voting platform.
Several LIFE projects and initiatives will feature at Hannover Messe, the largest industrial trade fair in Europe.
On 30 May, during the EU Green Week, the LIFE programme will announce the winners of this year's edition of the #LIFEAwards22 in nature protection, environment and climate action.
This online event organised by CINEA and three Horizon 2020 projects will take place on 30 May. Leading scientists will discuss key outcomes from the projects and deliver key messages to policy makers. You will have the opportunity to interact with scientists on the presented messages and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) special report proposal.

A dedicated session on the LIFE Clean Energy Transition (CET) sub-programme on Friday 20 May (9:00- 13:00 CEST) will provide you with all details, including presentations on each funding topic open under the LIFE CET Call 2022, and it will give you specific tips and tricks on how to write an excellent proposal.

From April 1st "EMD In My Country" events will start all over Europe. Continuing until 31 October, these events will take place in physical, virtual and hybrid formats. Last year, a record 2021 EMD In My Country events were held across 25 countries and all EU sea basins. As 2022 is the European Year of Youth, the organisers are notably looking for events focused on youth activities.
With 750 participants onsite and 800 online, the event provides an inspiring framework to discuss the latest developments in the blue economy. CINEA's presence at the event includes a stand promoting programmes and projects, a pitch session on funding opportunities and women in the blue economy, as well as a workshop on the role of ports in the context of the European Green Deal.
‘Sustainable blue economy for green recovery’ is the topic of the European Maritime Day (EMD) 2022. With more than 1,500 participants online and in Ravenna, EMD provides until 19 May an inspiring framework to discuss the latest developments in the blue economy.
From 18 – 20 May, CINEA will hold various virtual information sessions on the #EULife22 Call for proposals to guide potential applicants.
The European Hydrogen Energy Conference (EHEC) will feature the most recent technological and research developments in the hydrogen field. It will count with the presence of four hydrogen-related LIFE projects.
The annual flagship Research and Innovation event is back this year fully digital on 28 and 29 September 2022, bringing together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and the public to debate and shape new solutions to strengthen Europe’s resilience and its strategic autonomy.
