In the context of our National Interoperability Framework Observatory (NIFO) action, the results of the year 2019 and 2020 of the level of implementation of the European Interoperability Framework (EIF) by the Member States are now accessible in a visual way!
NIFO provides comprehensive information and reporting activities on interoperability and digital public services in 35 European States. It analyses, monitors and evaluates the National Interoperability Frameworks (NIFs) of EU Member States and associated countries, as well as the alignment and implementation of these frameworks with the EIF.
To ensure the success of NIFO’s objectives, the ISA2 Programme has defined a monitoring mechanism to collect evidences on the EIF implementation, and developed scoreboards to visualise the results of the data collection and allow comparisons between the performances of the Member States over time.
NIFO has just deployed a comprehensive Business Intelligence tool to gather various sets of data and translate them into visual results on the Joinup Platform. The dashboards are displayed interactively with a data visualisation tool, accessible on Joinup, showing the first results of the level of implementation of the EIF at European level in digital public services.
The objective of the scoreboards is to let the users compare the implementation of the interoperability framework among the different Member States on three different levels of aggregation of the EIF (Thematic Areas or pillars, recommendations, and Key Performance Indicators ). For each level of aggregation, users are able to identify the areas of improvements by comparing their performance against other Member States.
