ISA² has been supporting modernisation of European public administrations through interoperability since its launch in 2016. The programme will end in 2020 but interoperability activities will continue under the new Digital Europe programme. You can now participate in a public consultation on the orientation of Digital Europe’s first two years.
In the period 2021-2027, the new programme will invest in digital technologies with the potential to make a difference and benefit European citizens and businesses. This will include interoperability actions to support the digital transformation of European public administrations in order to provide citizen-centric digital public services.
Your input will help the European Commission finalise the Orientations for Digital Europe, of which a draft can be viewed online. The activities in relation to interoperability are in particular the Digital Transformation Platform, Once Only Principle and GovTech Incubator. The consultation will be open until 25 October 2019. The feedback received will then shape the work programmes and calls for proposals for the programme’s first two years (2021-2022).
A milestone in this participative process will be the Digital Excellence Forum at the upcoming ICT Proposers' Day held in Helsinki, Finland on 19-20 September 2019. The ISA² team will be present at the event with a stand and will co-organise a specific session on Deployment, best use of digital capacity and interoperability.
