News › Updated Posting of Workers questions in IMI

To ensure that the rules on posting of workers remain fit for purpose, the European Commission proposed a revision of the rules on posting of workers. The revised Posting of Workers Directive was adopted on 28 June 2018 and entered into application on 30 July 2020.

The main changes introduced by the revised directive are as follows:

  • application of all mandatory elements of remuneration in the host Member State (instead of “minimum rates of pay”);
  • application of the rules of the host Member State concerning accommodation and allowances or reimbursement of expenses during the posting assignment;
  • for long-term postings (longer than 12 or 18 months), application of an extended set of terms and conditions of employment of the host Member State.

These new rules have been reflected in the Posting of Workers Information Request Module, with changes to the questions in 3 forms: requests concerning a posting, requests concerning working conditions and urgent requests concerning establishment. You can consult the updated lists of questions on the Library tab.
