The Partnership on the Inclusion of Migrants and Refugees has developed an Action Plan which addresses, amongst others, the school segregation of children with a migrant background.

In an effort to understand the challenges faced at the local levelcand the possible ways forward, selected sustainable urban development strategies were assessed and a methodological support paper on tackling educational segregation is being developed.

The aim of this Urban Development Network (UDN) thematic event is to assist local authorities in addressing school segregation of marginalised communities (with a focus on children with a migrant background). In the course of the day, local authorities and other relevant stakeholders will be consulted on the methodological support paper. As a follow-up, the methodological support paper will be further developed and communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
