A pan-Baltic conference ""Solutions to Poverty and Social Exclusion in the Baltic States"" took place in Riga on May 27. The aim of the conference was to identify applicable solutions to elimination of poverty and social exclusion on four levels: individual, organisation, municipal/ governmental and European level. The conference was organised by the European Parliament Information offices in the Baltic states in the framework of the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion.
More than 120 participants from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia took part in this conference.
