Supports trustworthy data exchange through electronic identification
eID is a set of services provided by the European Commission to enable the mutual recognition of national electronic identification schemes (eID) across borders. It allows European citizens to use their national eIDs when accessing online services from other Euorpean countries. As part of the Trust & Identity services in the European Strategy for data, eID ensures security and trust, interoperability, enhanced efficiency and streamlined cross-border digital interactions.
eID notified scheme in Europe
The map below presents an overview of the status of eIDAS-Node implementation and eID use across Europe. The notification process refers to the selection, peer review and official addition of national eID schemes to the eIDAS Network. Notification ensures that the eID schemes connected to the eIDAS Network satisfy the conditions of quality and security set out by the eIDAS Regulation. The information presented is the result of a collaborative effort between the European Commission and Member States to provide information that will be useful for organisations helping to set up or connect to the eIDAS Network.
eIDAS dashboard
The eIDAS Dashboard is a centralized platform that enables interested parties and Digital Single Market players to easily and transparently access information and tools related to the eIDAS trust services, including the Points of Single Contact and eIDAS-Nodes Contacts for eID. More and more features will be added, to increase the user experience when using the trust services. Soon, the platform will be revamped, including new features, such as the overview of the operational interconnections of the eIDAS-Network, a real-time and interactive map displaying the eID Point of Single Contact, and more.

Expansion of the eIDAS Dashboard with more advanced features, incl. automation of eIDAS-Node's interconnections, dynamic status monitoring, and more.
