Solution Providers

1Get familiar with the legislation and standard

Directive 2014/55/EU made it mandatory for all European public entities to be able to receive eInvoices that comply with the EU standard (EN 16931). This is a business opportunity for IT solution providers wanting to help public administrations meet their obligations.

The way electronic invoicing should be implemented depends on how your Member State has transposed the EU Directive into national law. Keep in mind, local laws may also be stricter than EU legislation. To learn more, check out the Member State's country factsheet.

2Develop your solution with the help of our services

DIGITAL eInvoicing services are available to help you develop European standard-compliant eInvoicing solutions to launch to the market. We offer a wide range of documentation and support services. The eInvoicing Community and Service Desk are open for your questions, comments, incidents and change requests throughout the lifecycle of your solution.

Consider the benefits and marketing opportunities of offering an eInvoicing solution conforming with the European standard, and assess your organisation’s eligibility for DIGITAL funding.

Use our eInvoicing implementation checklist to identify key areas where conformance with the standard should be ensured.

3Test your readiness and compliance

Before going live with your eInvoicing solution, you can check your readiness and compliance with our testing services.

As a solution provider, you will also need to test the technical compliance of your solution against the standard. Our conformance testing service provides test cases and a ready-to-use testing platform to assess your solution’s technical compliance with the European standard. Technical support is provided by our experienced staff throughout the entire testing process.

The eInvoicing Community and Service Desk are open for your questions, comments, incidents and change requests before, during and after implementation.
