Your voice has a crucial role to play in the development of the European Digital Identity Framework, which provides the legal and technical basis for the creation of EU Digital Identity Wallets.
Implementing Acts, outlining the exact legally mandatory specifications required for the wallets, are being published for public consultation.
Five were already published this Summer for consultation, and have now been adopted by the Commission, laying down rules for the core functionalities and certification of the European Digital Identity Wallets under the European Digital Identity Framework.
In addition, a new set of Implementing Acts have just been published for consultation.
What are the new Implementing Acts?
There are five new Implementing Acts, each addressing a specific aspect of the Framework, detailing how EU Digital Identity Wallets will work. Click on the links below to find the new acts:

Defines how security breaches must be handled, and when and how breached wallets should be suspended.

Electronic Attestations of Attributes
Provides the specifications needed to issue Qualifed Electronic Attestations of Attributes (QEAA) and Electronic Attestations of Attributes (EAA), including how to achieve interoperability and details on revocation mechanisms.

Sets out rules for Member States to submit information on certified wallet solutions for the machine-readable list of certified wallets to be published and maintained by the European Union.

Identity matching – Cross-border identity matching of natural persons by public sector bodies (RP)
Sets out necessary provisions for Member States to ensure correct identity matching in cross-border authentications.

Sets out rules for the registration of wallet relying parties via national registers.
