Discover Big Data Test Infrastructure
Analyse and experiment with big data, for insights that lead to better decisions and strategic moves.
BDTI is a testing infrastructure offering virtual environment templates to explore and experiment with various data sources, software tools and big data techniques. This allows public administrations to focus on gathering knowledge, insight and value from their data, instead of setting up and maintaining a complex experimental environment.

Municipality of Milan Pilot Showcase
// By Elisa Bellistri - SIAD Management Instructor, Analytics and Data Science Unit, Municipality of Milan
The Municipality of Milan will present its BDTI pilot sharing its objectives and experience, with a focus on its role and expectations within the BDTI Community Portal.
"The Municipality of Milan takes part in the BDTI project in order to manage different scenarios during the ongoing pandemic emergency. In particular, they aim to make forecasts about the movement of citizens through the city, based on the opening hours of stores, industries, schools and other activities. Making these sorts of predictions makes it easier to monitor the city and make data-driven decisions about city management. The BDTI platform provides an environment to integrate different data from different sources, such as flow information and attributes, historical and real-time data, georeferenced data, population data. It is then possible to build advanced models of data prediction."
