The MEDEA Awards dedicate special prize to educational material promoting Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations

The annual MEDEA Awards is a free to enter competition that recognises excellence in the use of media to support learning.

In each edition the competition includes a series of awards linked to specific categories. In 2012, as a commitment to the European Year, the organising commitee will grant a special prize to the best educational media entry promoting Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations.

This special prize is open to teachers, students, educational staff, producers, and anyone who has created an educational media production that clearly uses (multi)media to encourage, document or promote active ageing and solidarity between generations.

Submissions may be presented in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish or Polish. Participation is free and entries need to be submitted before the closing date: 17 September 2012. (More information available at www.medea-awards.com).

All finalists will be invited to take part in the Media & Learning Conference 2012 in Brussels, which will take place 14-15 November and includes the MEDEA Awards Ceremony.
