Learn more about gender pay gap at events across the EU
The European Gender Pay Gap (GPG) campaign is taking part in a series of national events to spread information to employers and employees on the pay inequalities that exist between women and men and why closing the gap makes sense for us all.
The first event in the GPG calendar for 2011-2012 was the Sixth Economic Forum of Young Leaders in Nowy Sacz in Poland on 7 September. Attended by more than 300 young people from over 30 countries, the Forum provided an opportunity for participants to discuss the current and upcoming challenges Europe is facing, with a special emphasis on those affecting young people. The GPG campaign was present to provide information on the pay gap, distribute materials and answer participants’ questions.
The GPG campaign will continue its activities at events, including conferences, job fairs and career development days, in 17 EU Member States during autumn 2011 and early 2012.
