Antonia Carparelli, Head of Unit at the European Commission, responsible for social inclusion and the European Year 2010 for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion personally introduced the 2010 Journalist Award.
She explained: “Beyond the subject matter, we want to recognise the journalistic profession as an art and a discipline, which is why we chose a time and place dedicated to the field of journalism to personally introduce the competition to the journalists gathered there.” She will personally introduce the award to journalists attending the International Journalism Festival on 21-25 April.
