The fourth European Vocational Skills Week has taken place and the winners have been announced.

The Week in Helsinki took place between 14 – 18 October 2019 and aimed to showcase vocational education and training (VET). A highlight of the week was the VET Excellence Awards which included the European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA) Awards.

The EAfA Awards aim to identify excellence regarding the supply, quality, image and mobility of apprenticeships.

Following the participation of 15,147 people in the online voting, our winners have been decided.

The 2019 EAfA award winners are:

• Hidromek A.Ş., Turkey – Winner of the EAfA large companies award
• Limerick Strand Hotel, Ireland – Winner of the EAfA SMEs award
• Samuel Gilmore, Northern Ireland UK – Winner of the EAfA Apprentices award
