During his visit to Germany today, Nicolas Schmit, European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, visited a youth employment project of Duisburger Werkkiste. Many of Werkkiste’s community projects are co- financed by the European Social Fund.

ESF+ project in Greece helps unemployed young people to master digital skills
The “Work Experience Acquisition Programme” – funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) - trains unemployed young people aged 18–29 in digital tools, providing them with a pathway to exciting career opportunities. This helps young in matching employers' need for people with digital skills – particularly digital marketing.

ESF: Italian project wins 2022 Vocational Education and Training award
The project “Training of food production operators”, managed by the Piemonte Region (Italy), won the 2022 excellence awards for Vocational Education and Training (VET). The awards showcase talent, hard work and dedication of individuals and organisations to take VET to the next level, which focus this year’s was on ‘Upskilling/reskilling workforces for a fair green transition - green skills and jobs’.
