New UNICEF-Eurochild survey reports on the Europe Kids Want
In November the Europe Kids Want project, a collaboration between UNICEF and Eurochild, released a report on the first results of a survey of over 13,500 children and young people across Europe. The survey asked for the views of children and young people on various topics, such as schooling, job security, violence, terrorism and climate change.

Brexit Preparedness: European Commission adopts final set of “no-deal” contingency measures for social security coordination rules
Given the increasing risk that the United Kingdom may leave the EU on 30 March this year without a deal (a “no-deal” scenario), the European Commission has today adopted a final set of contingency proposals in the area of the Erasmus+ programme, social security coordination and the EU budget.

Updated information (up to July 2018) on social protection systems in all EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland – including brief descriptions of their organisation and information on the social protection of the self-employed – is now available on the MISSOC website.
