Tomorrow marks the 30th anniversary of the launch of the cooperation with European Social partners at Val Duchesse in 1985. The launch of the social dialogue aimed to involve the European social partners in the internal market process.

Commission proposes €1.3 million from Globalisation Fund for former workers of Saint-Gobain Sekurit Benelux in Belgium
The European Commission has proposed to provide Belgium with € 1.3 million from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) to help 257 former workers of Saint-Gobain Sekurit Benelux to find new jobs.

Commission proposes €115,205 from Globalisation Fund for former workers of Zakłady Chemiczne Zachem in Poland
The European Commission has proposed to provide Poland with €115,205 from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) to help 50 former workers of Zakłady Chemiczne Zachem and two of its suppliers and downstream producers to find new jobs.

Eight additional operational programmes recently approved to help the most deprived, including a €560 million package for Spain
