European employer organisations call policy-makers to create the necessary conditions for an effective active ageing in the workplace
The European cross-industry employer organisations BUSINESSEUROPE, CEEP and UEAPME have drawn up 10 key messages for policy-makers in order to create the necessary conditions for active ageing to be an efficient and well-functioning policy principle in Europe.

Berner Oy receives a National Prize in Finland for its Seniors Programme
The Finnish National Prize for Innovative Practices in Employment and Social Policy was awarded on January 15th to Berner Oy, a family company founded in 1883. The biannual award is handed out for activities or innovative approaches that have supported wellbeing at work among older employees and their ability to cope, or their prospects for employment. The prize, which is worth 40,000 Euros, was presented by Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen.

Munich celebrates with a party the success of the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations
The City of Munich held on January 17th a big farewell party to the European Year 2012, in which it was actively involved with a special programme including 200 different events, from lectures to courses, excursions and concerts.

Put your organisation on the map…the European map of eInclusion
The European Commission JRC-IPTS is conducting jointly with DG-CONNECT the MIREIA (Measuring the Impact of eInclusion Intermediary Actors) project which aims at better understanding the role of e-Inclusion intermediary actors and to create adequate instruments to facilitate the demonstration of their outcomes and their contribution to the achievement of European e-Inclusion policy goals.

The European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing is looking for new partners
The European Commission has opened the Invitation for Commitment to the Action Plans of the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing. It is done in order to further strengthen and extend the critical mass working to transform the delivery of care to ageing citizens, building upon the initial progress and momentum generated by the Partnership.
