First European microfinance institution certified under the European Code of Good Conduct
Qredits Microfinanciering Nederland has become the first European microcredit provider to be awarded the certificate for compliance with the European Code of Good Conduct for Microcredit Provision. Other microcredit providers are expected to be certified shortly.

55th session of the United Nations Commission for Social Development
“The 55th session of the United Nations Commission for Social Development (CSocD55) took place in New York on 1-10 February 2017. The priority theme for the event was “Strategies for eradicating poverty to achieve sustainable development for all”. Representatives of governments, civil society, social partners and NGOs from all regions of the world were invited to attend the CSocD55.

Employment and Social Development in Europe Quarterly Review – February 2016
In the year to the third quarter of 2016, the number of employees with permanent contracts grew by 1.8%. This represents an increase of 2.8 million employees, which is seven times more than the increase in temporary contracts of 420 thousand (1.6% growth), according to the latest Employment and Social Developments Quarterly Review.
