ESSPASS Pilot Project - exploring a new digital tool to help mobile citizens exercise their social security rights across borders
In March 2021 the European Commission launched a pilot project to explore the feasibility of a digital solution to facilitate the cross-border verification of social security coverage and entitlements: the European Social Security Pass (ESSPASS).

€31.5 billion for Romania's economic, social and territorial cohesion, competitiveness and green and digital transition in 2021-2027
Romania will receive a total of €31.5 billion from Cohesion Policy in 2021-2027 in the framework of its Partnership Agreement with the Commission to promote the economic, social and territorial cohesion of its regions and its green and digital transition. The EU funds will also support the development of a competitive, innovative and export-oriented Romanian economy.

REACT-EU: Additional €274.9 million to boost the social and economic recovery of Spanish regions
Spain will receive an additional €274.9 million from the 2022 tranche of REACT-EU. These resources will support the economic recovery of Spanish regions, help workers and jobseekers acquire skills necessary for the digital and green transition, and improve the access to and functioning of social systems.

€3.5 billion for Estonia's economic and social development and green transition in 2021-2027
Estonia will receive €3.5 billion Cohesion Policy funding to support economic, social and territorial cohesion in 2021-2027 in the framework of the Partnership Agreement between the Commission and Estonia, which was adopted today. This Agreement will also support the implementation of key EU priorities such as the green and digital transition and contribute to competitive, innovative and export-oriented growth.

Call for abstracts: The social and labour market impact of rising prices in the EU
Researchers and academics across Europe are invited to submit abstracts of recent papers analysing social and labour market impact of rising prices in the EU, with a special focus on vulnerable groups. The selected papers will be presented by (one of) the author(s) during the Social Situation Monitor Research Seminar on 4 October 2022.

Young people develop their digital skills to prepare for the world of work
Reliance on digital technology at work can create barriers to entering the workplace, especially for young people lacking digital training. The Spanish project, Making Youth Fit for the Digital Age, supported by the European Social Fund (ESF) is the solution to this problem and provides training for 16–30-year-olds.

ETF Network for Excellence - GRETA: Greening Responses to Excellence through Thematic Actions
On Thursday 30 June 2022 the ETF hosted the second of six thematic webinars as part of its programme, ETF Network for Excellence (ENE) and GRETA - Greening Responses to Excellence Through Thematic Actions. The meeting, chaired by Susanne M. Nielsen, ETF’s expert leading GRETA, was a unique opportunity to profile some of the exciting developments taking place in Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) from across the ENE-GRETA network, and highlighted examples of curricula innovation and best practice.
