Peer Review on ‘Integration of Refugees into the Labour Market’, Berlin (Germany), 11-12 October 2017

This Peer Review discussed the measures being implemented in some Member States to facilitate early and sustainable labour market integration of refugees. The focus of the Peer Review is crucial for those countries that face high inflows of asylum seekers and that aim to ensure a successful and sustainable integration of these groups into their societies.

The event provided opportunities to discuss lessons learned and exchange practices related to the provision of early integration measures, the importance of vocational language training and capacity building for key stakeholders including employers, public employment services (PES) and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

The Peer Review was hosted by the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) and co-hosted by the Lithuanian Ministry of Social Security and Labour. It was attended by participants from the following countries: Austria, France, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden.
