EaSI Technical Assistance - Investment Readiness Training for microcredit providers on public and private funding

The European Union offered an investment readiness training under the EaSI Technical Assistance programme tailored to microfinance practitioners who are familiar with proposing and appealing to private or public investors. The second part of this online training took place on 7 December 2021.

This training is organised as two special sessions to prepare European microfinancial institutions to attract public or private funding to access various financial products.

The key experts, from the European Investment Fund (EIF) and the Inpulse Investment Manager, will share their insights on the funding process from the first contact to the first signature, disbursement, and repayment of proposed funding. The first session took place on 1 December and focused on the funding procedure from the first contact to signing up the contract.

This second session on 7 December of the two-part online training is tailored to the need to collect first-hand knowledge on disbursement, repayment, and reporting pillars of public and private funding.

Announced experts:

  • Cristina Dumitrescu - an expert with over 25 years of experience and international coverage of Eastern and Central Europe by working with both financial service providers and finance beneficiaries. Since 2013, Cristine Dumitrescu is a full-pledge member of the Inclusive Finance Team at EIF, being directly involved in the implementation of the EU programmes for microfinance and social entrepreneurship finance.
  • Nicolas Blondeau - an expert with over 20 years of experience in the microfinance sector and in the field practices in Kosovo, Brazil, and Guatemala and public investment companies within the EU before joining Inpulse Investment Manager.

The training is funded by the European Union Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI). European microfinance providers, either selected as EaSI Technical Assistance beneficiaries or interested to apply for the programme can contact easi.ta@fs.de to receive more information about this event, as well as to request the participation in or organisation of similar events.
