Join the EASI Technical Assistance webinar on the use of algorithms in credit scoring

The European Union is offering this webinar for microfinance institutions (MFI) interested in the use of algorithms in microfinance and in particular in the area of credit scoring. The webinar will take place on 28 October.

The session will explore the opportunities, such as generating trend analysis, modelling and predictions using varied data sources, and threats of artificial intelligence (AI) and algorithms in microfinance. It will focus ensuring the right balance between client protection and targeting of unserved customers.

The main speaker will deliver an interactive online session with plenty of opportunities for engagement with the audience through polls and live questions:

  • Mr. Jacobo Menajovsky is a data scientist with 20 years of international experience developing advanced analytics and data-driven business tools. Throughout his career he has developed predictive algorithms using regular and alternative data sources and implemented action-oriented solutions in financial inclusion and development programs.

The webinar is financed by the EU programme for Employment and Social Inclusion (EaSI) and participation is free-of-charge.

The session targets primarily microfinance institutions (MFIs), including greenfield MFIs, banks, NGOs, regulators or other institutions and individuals working in the microfinance sector in Europe. European microfinance providers, either selected as EaSI Technical Assistance beneficiaries or interested in applying for the programme can contact the EaSI TA Secretariat to receive more information about this event, as well as to request the participation in or organisation of similar events.
