The European Union is offering this webinar to microfinance institutions (MFI) interested in improving the management of the associated risks of non-performing loans (NPL) due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. The webinar will take place on 22 September.

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to halt economic growth in many economies in Europe, the number of loans that cannot be paid back increases on a steady basis. This results in MFIs facing an unprecedented, widespread proliferation of loan defaults. The webinar will offer insights on how lenders can better navigate the COVID-19 NPL landscape and how they can address the risks related to high stocks of NPLs.

This webinar will be the first of two sessions, focused on delinquency management and during the COVID-19 crisis.

The speakers, Mr. Claudio D’Auria and Mr. Davide D’Auria from Moderari S.R.L. Consultancy, will deliver an interactive online session with plenty of opportunities for engagement through polls and live questions.

The webinar is financed under the EU programme for Employment and Social Innovation, and participation is free of charge. The session is primarily tailored to smaller microfinance institutions, which do not have a fully-fledged IT department or for those at the start of their digital transformation.
