The PES Network organised a special webinar on 14 May to explore how European Public Employment Services (PES) can develop or adapt effective methods for planning and distributing capacities to meet urgent needs generated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The webinar explored practices and experiences from the Dutch, Norwegian and German PES on how they are handling capacity planning and allocation, illustrating adjustments made and possible ways forward.

The webinar attracted 185 participants from 31 countries, highlighting both the importance and urgency of this topic for the PES Network. The COVID-19 crisis has imposed a rethink of both the type of assistance offered and the delivery mechanisms used by the European PES.
