Conference: Matching Skills with Needs

A conference on skills development and skills mismatch will take place in Brussels on 6 November.

The conference aims to bring together researchers and policy makers to discuss analytical and policy-oriented work on the topic of skills development and skills mismatch, both at the level of Member States and in international organizations.

The morning session will have an analytical focus, looking at the measurement and extent of skills mismatches, the policy challenges related to address them and the role of evidence-based policy making in the EU and by the Commission in this context.

The afternoon session will have a policy focus, addressing some of the policies to reduce skills mismatch by ensuring that skills supplied to a fast evolving labour market are closer to actual labour market needs.

Both sessions will aim to ensure a discussion between the two sides and to involve national actors.

Registration for this event is now closed.
